| Intra
LATA - this is a sub-set of intrastate
and is what is normally called 'local toll calls'. The price
from ProDial for these calls will be exactly the same as
intrastate calls - but you have a choice of whether to allow
your local company or your long distance company to carry
these calls. Intrastate - long distance calls which originate and terminate within one state are governed by that state's public utility commission and by routes available and competition. The result is that costs are different in every state so rates vary from very small in populous states with large metropolitan areas - to very expensive in states that are more rural and carry fewer calls and less long distance traffic. Interstate - Your price for calls between any two of the contiguous 48 states is always 4.9 cents per minute, computed in 10ths of a minute (six-second increments) with no fees. Off-Shore - the cost for this type is computed similarly to international but is also affected to a greater degree by available lines to Alaska, Hawaii, P.R., and the Virgin Is. International - the price for this type of long distance is affected by distance, routes available, competition, and taxes or tariffs by the receiving nation. |
